PA DEMOCRATIC PARTY ENDORSES STATEWIDE JUDICIAL CANDIDATES
Pennsylvania Democratic Party Chairman T.J. Rooney announced the endorsed Democratic statewide judicial candidates for the 2009 primary election.
Rooney said that the Pennsylvania Democratic State Committee unanimously endorsed Superior Court Judge Jack Panella for the state Supreme Court.
For Superior Court, Judge Ann Lazarus, Judge John Milton Younge and Judge Robert Coville also received the necessary two-thirds vote to receive the endorsement.
Judge Jimmy Lynn and Dan Bricmont were endorsed as Democratic candidates for Commonwealth Court.
"Coming off the heels of one of the most successful elections in our history, we look forward to continuing our winning ways in Pennsylvania," Rooney said. "During the past three judicial election cycles, Pennsylvanians have voted overwhelmingly for Democratic judges whose message of fairness and inclusion has resonated with their values."
Tuesday, February 17 is the first day to circulate nominating petitions, which must be filed at the PA Department of State by 5 p.m. on March 10.
Primary election day is Tuesday, May 19. April 20 is the last day to register to vote. |
